Q&A about Work PermitsQ: Do I need a work permit for summer?
A: All students need a work permit unless they are 18 or graduated, throughout the year. Q: Where can I get a work permit? A: Work permits are available in the Career Center through 6/11 and after that date, in the AP's office from Mrs. Morasco. Q: How do I know if I'm eligible to work? A: During the school year, a student must have at least a 2.0 GPA and good attendance. Grades are checked at every grading period. During the summer, grades are not considered. Q: Can I pick up a work permit today? A: You do not need a work permit until you have filled out an application and an employer has contacted you for an interview. ![]() College visits without leaving home!![]() CollegeWeekLive is a wonderful site that has exploded in popularity since it premiered in 2007. For students whose families can't afford a cross-country trip, this site, billed as "the world's biggest virtual college fair", is a great alternative! Students log on to the site and see a virtual trade show with booths for over 200 colleges. The site features seminars on numerous topics including writing college essays, interviews with experts on student aid, and admissions strategies. If you "missed" a featured college presentation simply go to the archives. There are online chat sessions available. Check this one out! www.collegeweeklive.com Group Files
